Wrightwood Montessori at Sweet Haven opened in 2008 to answer the request of three sets of Wrightwood parents for a small individualized program that would help their children develop at their own pace. The Montessori method was chosen because the materials and practices were ideally suited for their request. Because the town of Wrightwood is small, it has always been the goal of Wrightwood Montessori to remain small, excellent, and affordable. All of the initial students are still in the program and the program now encompasses K-8th grade. Students are accepted on the basis of available openings, time of application, and the ability of Wrightwood Montessori:Sweet Haven to meet their needs, without regard to race, creed, sex, or religious preference. Wrightwood Montessori is owned by Gail and Bill Smith. Wrightwood Montessori offers Montessori educational prgrams and does not offer daycare.
